........good evening and welcome,
to Oakwood's Blog my name is Oaky Wood
and I'm here to welcome you to this humble site.
O.K. I know this isn't a true blog site I
hear the cynics amongst you saying,
but I've created it all the same, in the spirit of
a blog. Over the coming months/years ahead
I hope to create a friendly place to be, hopefully
not too boring or straight laced, a quiet haven
away from the banner rich world of internet
marketing, away from the pressures of everyday
life. A place of tranquility, full of interesting Articles,
Poems, News and Views, and no
not all mine either, after all, this is not just my blog
hopefully it will become Your Blog too. The
doors my friends are well and truly open and you are invited to
come on in, pull up a comfortable chair, relax,
grab that well deserved cup of coffee. Take the
weight off your feet, kick away your work shoes
and submit
your cherished writings here, or peruse the pages
at your own leisure, most of all do enjoy your
visit, and try to come back as often as you can, I
always keep a fresh pot of coffee percolating away
on the old log burner in the corner.

........Well
here I am burning the midnight oil once again, a cold
turkey sandwich, wedged in my mouth, a hot cup of
cocoa in one hand, and precariously trying to type,
one fingered I might add, with the other. Now sitting
here nearly running out of things to say WoW! Yeah!
that would be the day, when I've got nothing to say.
So I decided to put some of my own poems here for
you to enjoy, which I certainly hope that you do. I
also hope that it will encourage and inspire everyone
to get writing and submit something for me to publish
here at Oakwood's Blog.
